Blooming HopeDear Friends, As I think back over these 5 years, I am reminded of the crocuses that bloom in my yard each year. In the March 2015 newsletter, I shared a picture of these crocuses and explained how they reminded me of the power of hope in the midst of hopelessness, darkness, and despair. Here is another picture taken recently from my yard. Once again, the crocuses are shooting up through the frozen ground in defiance of winter in full swing. In only a few short weeks, they will be in full bloom. This last year has been a tough one for me as I lost my dad. He was an eternal optimist—he saw the best in everyone and everything he encountered. Sometimes I wondered how he could remain so hopeful and optimistic even in the worst of circumstances. In a way, he was like the crocus. Always hopeful and never giving up, regardless of what anyone else may think or say. With these thoughts in mind, I would like you to know that Fountain of Life is as committed as ever to keeping hope alive in each individual we are privileged to serve! We will continue to walk the path we set out on 5 years ago, and we are so grateful that you are partnering with us on this journey. Thank you! Now for a few updates: |
